exams

Now with practicals over its time to work on my thesis. The thesis is the only thing that is giving me some hard time but its worth the wait. Simphiwe Dana Ndimi nawe.

theory and residencies

I have been working hard on the dissertation and I have read the different chapters and I feel that there is still some things missing like the description of the examples. I will have to sleep late tonight. The residencies that I have applied for this year have all come out and I was unfortunately not accepted and by the way this does not discourage me from applying. I need to work even harder on realising my dreams of making art for a living and gaining exposure through the residencies.

theory

I have been making some substantial gains in my theory and I am making the changes that I was asked by my advisers to make. My theory has opened my eyes and doors hopefully I now see just how important it is to substantiate your work through your theory. I have been struggling with the theory but today I feel like I have taken a step towards finishing this time around.

I just become the regional finalist for the art competition and I hope the submission is good enough to win the competition thi time around. I also entered the submission to end of the year exam for my Masters and I am so stoked at realising my dream to graduate.

residencies

I have been applying for residencies and working on some new ideas.

residency

I have submitted my application for a residency in Marseilles south of Paris were I had my first show in France and I hope it is not the last but the first of many experiences. The feedback from the show at Bendana-Pinel Contemporary was good and I hope to follow on the footsteps I and my predecessors have laid. I am Excited about this year and am looking forward to finishing my dissertation and graduation.
